About the Prints
All of Jenny's limited edition photographs are Crystal Archive LightJet prints. Each of these prints is custom made from a high-resolution digital drum scan of Jenny's original color slide. After each transparency is scanned, Jenny creates a master digital file of each photograph, and works closely with her printer to ensure that all prints made from the master files will be true to her original vision of the subject. The photographs are then printed on FujiColor Crystal Archive paper using LightJet 5000 state-of-the-art laser technology.
These stunning photographs are, quite simply, the finest color photographic prints that can be made. They have unequalled sharpness, color saturation, and tonal range; and they offer the ultimate in fidelity to the scene witnessed and recorded on film by the photographer. In addition, Crystal Archive LightJet prints have exceptional archival stability that significantly exceeds the longevity of traditional color prints.
Prints made from traditional color processes and optical enlargement (for example, Cibachrome prints, Type "R" prints, or Type "C" prints) are adversely affected by increased contrast, deterioration in color quality, and noticeable loss of sharpness and tonal range in relation to the photographer's original transparency. In comparison, Crystal Archive LightJet prints do not suffer from these difficulties. These revolutionary prints have such extraordinary color and detail that it is often said they have a luminescent three-dimensional quality.
It should be noted that although Jenny uses a digital printing process, she does not digitally manipulate the content of her images. In creating the master digital files that are used to print her photographs, Jenny does not add or delete compositional elements, or change the color of the scene that she actually saw and captured on film.
Editions are limited to 500 prints of each size offered for a given image. Some images are not available in all of the sizes for which prices are specified below. Please refer to the list of available sizes for the particular photograph(s) you are interested in purchasing.

* This is the actual size of the photographic image in inches, not the size of the paper the photograph is printed on. The paper is larger than the image, to ensure that the print can be handled by the edges when being matted and framed. So, for example, a 16x24 photographic image is printed on 18x26 paper.
** Each print is signed and numbered by Jenny E. Ross, and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.
*** Photographs will be double-matted in archival museum-quality white mattes. The photographer's signature and the limited edition number of the photograph will be placed on the inner matte.
**** Photographs will be framed using Plexiglas and one of the following metal moldings (to be selected by the customer): Champagne (frosted warm silver, with a hue similar to the color of pale champagne); Contrast Gray (shiny silvery gray color); Frosted Walnut (greenish brown color with a matte finish); Satin Black (black color with a matte finish); Sienna (shiny golden bronze color). Wooden frames are available for an additional cost; please inquire.
